Call of Duty: Modern Warfare System Requirements

Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a great entry in the series after quite some time. The game looks graphically astounding, and levels in “The Clean House” mission looks reality-defying! The game does benefit from the new IW 8.0 engine, and gameplay truly feels next-gen. But, with great power comes great responsibilities. Thus, it’s not surprising that the bottom-line system requirements of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are quite beefy. You will need at least an AMD FX 6300 or a Core i3-4340 coupled with an Nvidia GTX 670 or a GTX 1650 to run the game at the lowest settings at 1080p. But, the GTX 1650 is much more capable than the ages-old GTX 670. A GTX 760 2 GB is almost comparable to the GTX 670’s performance.

It is confusing as to why Activision included two very different performing cards in the minimum requirements. The GTX 1650 can give over 60 FPS in the game even in the highest settings.

Previously, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare supported Windows 7 too. But, after Microsoft withdrew support for Windows 7 in January 2020, the game stopped supporting the OS. A high-resolution texture pack was also released in November 2020 and is only recommended to players on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X.

Modern Warfare isn’t a very demanding game, plus its optimization is superb. We think it’s the best Call of Duty game in quite a while and thus has a wholehearted recommendation from us.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.
