The Dark Pictures Anthology is known for being a graphical marvel. It is not your regular Resident Evil or Amnesia. Dark Pictures follows a more cinematic approach that adds more depth and character to their video games. Both of their installments have followed this formula, and House of Ashes will not be an exception. The astounding visual fidelity of this game sets the lower bar of entry to this series quite high. That is evident from the minimum system requirements of their latest entry, full title: The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes.
You need at least an Intel© Core™ i5-3470 or an AMD© FX-8350 coupled with a GeForce™ GTX 970 or an AMD© Radeon™ R9 290X to get into the game. Although the requirements on the CPU side are paltry, the video card requirements explain it all. Although these cards are over 7 years old, they still are a performer in modern games. But being pushed at the minimum specification of a title suggests the game has something serious going with it.
