Xbox Cloud Gaming Will Soon Let Players Stream Titles Not on the Game Pass

Xbox Cloud Gaming

Xbox Cloud Gaming has recently announced its plans to let its users stream titles they own, even if they are not included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. This step will expand the number of games that can be played with the cloud streaming service after Microsoft answered the “where” question with a wide range of options. However, we still do not have adequate information on how this mode will be implemented. Only time can tell whether Microsoft will allow us to stream possibly any game available or if a supported titles’ list will exist.

We do not have a release date for this feature either. But, Xbox has confirmed that it will be exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users only. This is not a surprise because only Ultimate users get access to Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Gamers are not shy with their feedback, which is awesome. And so one of the things that they told us, it’s like, ‘Hey, we would love to be able to stream games that we own even if they’re not in the Game Pass catalog.’ And so later this year if you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, you will be able to stream from the cloud games you purchase and also games you already own as long as they’re cloud-enabled in the catalog.

It is good to see that companies like Microsoft are working so heavily with customer feedback. The Xbox Cloud Gaming service took off ever since it came out in beta around 3 years ago, titled Project xCloud. Since then, Microsoft launched it as their full-fledged online cloud gaming service and has brought streaming options to TVs and cloud streaming to Xbox consoles. Now they are working on a streaming stick. Thus, the company is doubling down in its efforts in the cloud streaming industry.

The addition of this all-new feature will expand the possibilities through Xbox Cloud Gaming manyfold and will increase its library to much more than what Game Pass would have ever achieved.
