V Rising, an All-New Vampire Survival Game, is Out Now

V Rising

V Rising is an all-new survival vampire game for PC. This title has been developed by the Swedish Stunlock Studios. Previously, we have seen titles like Battlerite, an arena brawler from them. It is safe to comment that Battlerite has influenced V Rising to quite an extent. But, their newest creation does differ from anything the studio has come up with in lots of ways. Let us go over them.

V Rising packs survival elements with combat. This is a rare combination, but one with potential. The game packs the regular gore of vampires, with the blood-sucking aspect influencing the story of the game significantly. It is a multiplayer survival game, but players can choose between PvE (player vs environment) and PVP (player vs player). The game sets players in the shoes of a “wannabe” vampire. You then need to build a castle by gathering materials and keeping it alive and functioning. Other players can attack and destroy your castle, so your main task is to protect and maintain it.

V Rising is played from a top-down perspective, which adds to the vibe of games of this genre. The game is currently in Early Access, but the enthusiasm and response from the community are overwhelming. It peaked at almost around 50,000 concurrent players, making it the number 12 game on Steam. The game has also been critically acclaimed for its technical combat, PvP mode, dynamic enemies, and witty boss fights. Overall, the community seems to love Stunlock’s new creation.

The developers are committed to adding the final icing to the cake throughout the Early Access period as the game prepares for its final launch. V Rising incorporates plenty of unique elements, and the gameplay is genre-defining. We do not have an official release date for V Rising yet. Developers are targeting to get it out of the Early Access phase within 12 months. The final version will be the current one but with more enemies, recipes, and weapons, and bundled with controller support. The game might also be launched on the Steam Deck, but that’s inconclusive.
